I have been eagerly awaiting this book. I knew going into it that it would be worth the wait. Anytime I saw teasers for this book I would get giddy. I almost started a countdown clock (not even lying) to release. All other books on my TBR were put on hold the moment my email came through letting me know my preorder had been delivered. THIS shows how powerful books can be because waiting for a continuation of this amazing story consumed me.This story takes part after The Devil, a book from the Cards of Love collection, which must be read before this one. Trust me when I say that you want to read it. While that story focused mainly on Cain and Damien and just a little on Eden this story goes in a different direction. In this one, the author takes her audience on a journey (It's really more like a game) and puts even more puzzle pieces on the board as it slowly unravels until there is a winner. Eden becomes the main player and no longer the little lamb/pawn on her way to the slaughter. All that kept going through my mind when I was reading was the famous, Shakespeare quote, "Oh, when she’s angry, she is keen and shrewd...She was a vixen... And though she be but little, she is fierce." The author did a fantastic job making her more than just a vapid ditzy female. In the first book, I was at a loss of who I loved, who I hated, and who I hated that I loved (read the first book and it will make sense) more; Cain or Damien. In this one, I knew by the middle, despite the fact that neither of them was being honest nor were either one of them who they said they were, who my devotion belonged to because he was so very delicious. These two men play games and lie like no one's business. Fitting that the backdrop of this book was politics. I always thought going to the playground when I was little was overrated. Now, I can see I was wrong because I just hadn't been playing on the Devil's playground. it would have made ALL the difference.The story has more twists than I can even express. Even when I thought I had it all figured out I didn't. The last 25% of this book left me gobsmacked. I DEFINITELY did NOT see any of that coming. Talk about full circle. Add in the steamiest of steam and this author ended up creating one of the best of 2019. The steam is well balanced around the story which I appreciated because this story was off the charts.This book was corrupt, deviant, dirty, raw, decadent, titillating, mindblowing, and delicious. I could keep listing adjectives but I think I have made my point. This book brings forth a maelstrom of emotions, juxtaposes good vs evil, and sucker punches the heart. If I could rate higher than five stars I would because this is sublime bliss.

Her words will dig down deep in your soul and make you feel every last one of them. She puts her all into each book she creates, and it shows 100%..The Devil’s Advocate is a steamy, dark, twisty chart topping read. Every word within this book is pure perfection and brilliant. I’m simply in awe of Ashley’s talent. She is one of the best, and her work proves it.The way she makes the characters come alive in this book is something to marvel over. I felt as if I was within the story experiencing everything they did. Feeling everything they felt. I was addicted and excited to see what was going to happen next.Damien… He’s an a-hole with a heart. He may act like he doesn’t care, but he does. He’s sexy and alpha, cocky yet caring. The amount of times I swooned over something he said might shock someone after reading book one, The Devil. Eden… GOD EDEN!! Ashley Jade has proven just how skilled she is with Eden. In The Devil, I was unsure about her. I didn’t know much, but what I did know, made me curious. I really wanted to know how she played a part in the overall story… And boy oh boy did Ashley Jade show us. That girl is so strong and brave. In The Devil’s Advocate, we get to see a new part of her, and it is amazing. I have a girl crush on her. . And Cain… he's not one of my favorite characters, but I have to give a round of applause for how well Jade wrote this character. These are some of THE BEST characters I've EVER read.The Devil's Advocate is an intense, angsty and steamy book that will flip your entire world upside down and suck you in completely until you have read EVERY. SINGLE. WORD.It's breathtaking the way Ashley Jade weaves her words together. I didn't just read Ashley Jade's words, I lived them, I breathed them and I felt them.I couldn't get enough of Jade’s phenomenal storytelling, and I'm just on edge to see what she has up her sleeves next. Trust me, you need this book in your life.Revenge has never taste so sweet!! 6 EPIC stars

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. WOW! I have no words for how amazing this story was. I’m literally speechless and now I have to do this review. Where do I start? Let’s start with Damien, he’s cynical, dark and twisted and I hate to say it, but has a sweet side that peaks out here and there. He’s out for revenge on Cain and goes after Eden. Eden is so dependent and in love with Cain, that she can’t see what’s really in front of her, all the secrets and lies that Cain has woven together to keep her to himself. Damien takes what he wants, and he takes Eden, she’s a pawn in the game he’s playing with Cain, or is she? When the realization of what Damien is trying to do, Cain will stop at nothing to get Eden back into his house, in his arms, fiancé be damned. Little does Eden know the truth behind her anxiety and fears and when Damien sheds the light on his findings with Eden, she’s beyond angry, and begins an agenda of her own. Damien wants Eden to be her own person, come out of her shell and own it, but when that starts to happen will he regret her actions? Or will be back her 100%? So many secrets, lies and deception going on, who can Eden trust, the devil himself in sheep’s clothing or the man who has been there with her every step of the way? Choices and decisions to be made, Cain or Damien? Cain isn’t the man she thought he was, and Damien is evil incarnate, with a sweet side when it comes to Eden, could that be Damien’s downfall, or will she be his perfect match forever? No spoilers, and believe me it’s so hard to keep it all in. This book was phenomenal, outstanding, gripping, twisted beyond recognition, but I loved all of it. I highly recommend this book, you must read The Devil first before this one to understand all that is going on. I can’t recommend this book enough, I absolutely loved it!!
