Brillant and very life changing. Here are some notes I made that I sent to friends about what it is like to read SETH.After reading SETH SPEAKS Chapter 21, this is even more meaningful to me!! When I read the first of that chapter it was the best thing ever!! I cried......I screamed out to SETH "Thank you, Thank you SETH, that was the most meaningful thing and the best written thing you communicated ever!!" It broke through to my heart and my Being and opened a doorway to the meaning of life more than anything!! And now I understand EVERYTHING I am to do here from this time... on out!!What I think it is like to read SETH:An analogy of what is like to read SETH SPEAKS Is like taking a dive into a hug endless lake and swimming for a long way and suddenly realizing I have gone so far there is no sight of land or I am way too far away to swim safely back. and nothing to reach for safety, and panic begins to set in!! So sometimes I just have to call out for the Spirit of Comfort to come to me and get me back to familiar land for grounding again. It can very scary to read Seth and keep your mental compass intact because it stretches even the most seasoned Spiritual traveler's mind to the limits until you believe you just dropped off the deep end and will never get back!! But I stick with it because the reward of this information is well worth the anguish!! And I have ridden the wave of that anguish until it turns into Ecstasy!! This is not for sissy's and not for those who need teachings that are just sugar and spice and everything nice!! But to think it has taken me years to read him starting and stopping over and over. and get past my comfort zone. Many people just are not ready for it or it is just not something they like. I read this in my early 20's and didn't understand much of it. I read it again in my 40s and had a lot of "a-hah!" moments, finding clarity regarding a lot of things that had become consistent with my ever-evolving spiritual world view. I just finished a 3rd reread at 60 and again I wonder if the amazing knowledge and insights in this book will ever become a part of mainstream Western religious thought. Two quotes come to mind: "Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real" -physicist Neils Bohr; and from another 'father of quantum physics' Max Planck, "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything we regard as existing, postulates consciousness."

Beautiful reading. In the search for my own answers managed to find this gem. I have studied Buddhism for almost 10 years and this is by far the extension of what I started to learn in Buddhism about reality and mind. Coming from a catholic background going into meditation and changing the idea of god for a belief in the inner self and mind was extreme. I first read this book around 35 years ago and it affected me deeply at a time when I was seeking deeper answers into the mearning of life. If you keep an open mind, it has some wonderful kernels of wisdom. Even in this time, it has relevancy. It seems to me that others have been inspired by the ideas presented in this volume and have gone on to very successful careers as writers and teachers. One idea that lives on through contemporary writers is that consciousness creates the world, not the other way around. That is a shocking concept but one which is worth contemplation, I believe that quantum theory postulates that the observer is very much bound up with what is observed, that you don't really have one without the other. I recommend the book for anyone who likes to ponder such questions. Of course, if you can't tolerate the idea of channeling, then this book is not for you.
